More than 72 million Americans participated in recreational boating in 2000. Almost 17 million boats were used in 2000.

More than 50 million Americans fish. There are 15 million anglers under the age of 16. That leaves 35 million anglers ages 16 and older.

How Many Subspecies of Wild Turkey are there in North America?

There are five subspecies of Wild Turkey in North America. The Eastern Wild Turkey, Merriams Wild Turkey, Rio Grande Wild Turkey, Gould's Wild Turkey and the Florida Wild Turkey also know as the Osceola.

Tallest Tree? Largest Cones? 12 to 18 inch Needles?

What is the tallest tree? Which pine has the largest cones? Which pine has needles 12 to 18 inches long?

Answers:

The Redwood is the tallest tree (record 364 ft). The Giant Sequoia is the largest and oldest living thing.

The Sugar Pine cones are the largest known 12 to 15 inches long, often longer. The Sugar Pine is also one of the tallest, largest and most majestic of the pines.

The Longleaf Pine has, as its name implies, long needles 12 to 18 inches long, dark green and shiny, three in a cluster.
